Diary dates: Sew North = quilting with a view!

Sttichtopia Sew North

We love it when quilters gather together to swap skills and oggle each others’ quilting triumphs! The only thing that tops off a quality quilting get together is having it set in beautiful scenery, and Ireland’s Sew North event has it all. The ‘small but special’ quilt gathering takes place in the very north of the Republic of Ireland every year. It’s packed with workshops and demos plus a special quilt exhibition – all set amidst the breathtaking landscape of County Donegal. Stitchers from all over Ireland and overseas travel to join in the fun, and now you can too as part of a new quilters’ holiday!

Quilting holiday operator Stitchtopia has lined up a special 5-night getaway, including a visit to Sew North, this September. Stitch & Quilt in County Donegal with Sew North is a 5 night trip, including three expert stitching and embroidery workshops with local expert Louise Kelly. So you can top up your sewing skills while you’re there! The holiday also includes visits to a renowned Donegal tweed mill and the Lisburn Centre, a tour of vibrant Derry (once the world leader in the linen and shirt industry) and a trip to the Giant’s Causeway.
