Sew a year of flowers: we’ll show you how

Today's Quilter 44 Foundation Paper Piecing Flowers

Master foundation paper piecing while filling your home with gorgeous floral blocks, cushions and quilts with our brand new supplement, only available with issue 44 (out next week).

Although the weather is turning colder and the days shorter, here at Today’s Quilter we couldn’t think of a better time to brighten your home with some beautiful blooms. And when we spotted the stunning foundation paper pieced blocks designed by Linda Causee for Annie’s Publishing, we just knew we needed to share them with all of you.

TQ44 supplement spreadThere are 24 floral blocks included in the collection, with 12 of them featuring flowers for each month of the year. They’re the perfect pick for that special someone’s birthday present, and ideal for creating a charming floral calendar – simply sew all the blocks together to form a stylish wallhanging or small quilt. And with 24 gorgeous designs to choose from, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect bloom to sew!

If you’re new to foundation paper piecing, or are still mastering the technique, you’ll find full instructions on how to go about creating the blocks inside. The flower templates are full size, so you can photocopy them straight from the pages to get started.

And, if you have a specific project in mind, why not alter the size to fit? For a touch of inspiration, we’ve included this pretty project by Laura Pritchard to show you how to enlarge a block and make it into a stunning cushion.

Issue 44 goes on sale in the UK on Friday 28th December 2018. Pre order your copy here.
