Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts in America Exhibition

The Festival of Quilts

1st–4th August, Birmingham
The Festival of Quilts is Europe’s biggest patchwork and quilting event, attracting 25,000+ visitors from all over the world.Highlights include: 800 competition quilts; 400+ workshops; talks, lectures and demonstrations; social events; and 300+ exhibitors.  The Festival’s galleries will feature work by internationally-acclaimed artists and groups including Michael JamesIndia FlintEszter Bornemisza and Karina Thompson.  The International Quilt Study Center & Museum, Nebraska will be showing an exhibition of 19th Century Baltimore Album Quilts. YouTube quilt star Jenny Doan (Missouri Star Quilt Company) will fly in to present a daily Trunk Show

Sew Hot Academy Presents A Weekend with Jen Kingwell

9th–11th August, Preston
Join Jen Kingwell for her fantastic Puzzle Piecing Workshop where you can learn to create your own jigsaw style of quilt. Jen first became known for this look with her quilt Green Tea & Sweet Beans and from its success went on to create other quilts with this similar style.
